Information

  1. Elm zigzag sawfly — (Aproceros leucopoda) is a recent addition to the growing list of forest health concerns in the eastern US. Native to China, it is capable of feeding on many elm species – leaving a tell-tale zigzag in its wake. The elm zigzag sawfly is capable of defoliating and greatly damaging trees and represents a novel threat to this important genus.
