- Call to Order
- Request for variances — by the owner (Sonia Arias) of the property located at 403 West Market Street, Pottsville, PA 17901 (Tax Parcel number 68-27-0319.000), located in the C-1 zoning district. The property owner is seeking to convert the structure, which is currently 3 floors, with a commercial establishment/professional offices on the 1st floor, and one residential establishment on the 2nd and 3rd floors, into a 3 dwelling unit residential establishment, with one residential dwelling unit on each of the 3 floors. The requested variances are to the requirements of Section 220-12.A.(3) (and the 220 Attachment 1, Schedule 1) of the Zoning Ordinance which prohibit multifamily dwellings in the C-1 district and/or which prohibit the 1st floor of such a structure from being converted from a commercial establishment/professional office into a dwelling unit, and to the requirements of Section 220-22.Table 3 of the Zoning Ordinance which requires 1 off-street parking space for each dwelling unit (which would require 3 for the structure).
